Our setting.
Our property is a semi detached house on a residental street in the mapperley area (ng3) of Nottingham. Which is close to local parks, shops and walter halls school. Minded children use the ground floor which comprises of two rooms, kitchen, hall and toilet (the children are resticted from the kitchen). We have a large back garden.Which we are in the process of landscaping for use by the children and we hope that this will be in full use by may/june 2012.
We provide a warm, safe, friendly home environment with a family atmosphere in which children feel valued, can learn and develop at their own pace. We provide childcare for children from birth to 8 years. This allows for the continuity of care unrivalled by any other form of childcare and provides children from a very young age with a valuable source of support. Siblings can be cared for together, as they would be in their own home – there is no “baby room” or “toddler room” segregation. Children will receive a lot of individual attention whilst enjoying interaction with others. I appreciate that parents are the most important people in a child’s life and therefore consult with parents on all aspects of their child’s care
A variety of activities are provided for the child at various times on various days taking into account the developmental stage and age of each child in our care. Supporting and stimulating each child’s social, physical, intellectual, communication and emotional development through play rather then formal learning. we have a large selectin of toys and resources for use by the children. Which are put out on a rota basis so we have room to play.
